Stage one consultation for Hope Moor Wind Farm has now closed. Thank you to everyone who took the time to share their feedback on our early proposals. Once our plans have been developed further, we expect to hold a second stage of consultation. This is anticipated to launch in winter 2026/2027, although timings may be subject to change as the project progresses. An overview of our proposals
By generating enough power for approximately 135,000 homes and businesses, Hope Moor Wind Farm will make a significant contribution to the UK’s energy security and net zero goals by increasing the amount of clean, domestically produced electricity on the grid. The project will be sensitively designed to respect nature and the landscape, support traditional moorland practices, and deliver meaningful investment and job opportunities for local communities.
Project update
The Scoping Report for Hope Moor Wind Farm has now been submitted to the Planning Inspectorate. You can find it on the Planning Inspectorate's website here. This marks the first formal step in the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process.
